Mark was part of the project of SM Entertainment, SMROOKIES.

The 3 of April of the 2016, Mark was the first member in be revealed next to a trailer of the first sub-unit of the new group of SM Entertainment, NCT, known as NCT U.

On April 4, 2016, Mark was the sixth member in be revealed of NCT 127, the second sub-unit of NCT.

The 21 of August of the 2016, is launched an image on the site official of NCT Dream revealing to Mark as the fifth member of this new sub-unit.

CURIOSITIES

Mark joined as an apprentice SM Entertainment in 2012 with the system of Global SM Audition in Vancouver, Canada, so it was trainee for 4 years.
His father is American and his mother is Korean.
He said that the sunbaenim more respecting of the SM was Minho from SHINee.
He has been a trainee for 4 years.
